Banning an account is not a decision we take lightly. In general, the only reason we ban accounts is to protect either us or our advertisers from fraudulent activity.
If you are worried about getting banned because you received 100 points of chargebacks out of 3000 points you earned, you need not worry. A low level of chargebacks is normal since sometimes users fill out forms in offers incorrectly, or in a way advertisers aren't happy with. That doesn't mean you're committing fraud.
Instead fraud is organized activity designed specifically to exploit PointsPrizes or our Advertisers - without any intention of contributing value back.
How good are PointsPrizes at detecting fraud?
The answer is incredibly good - and even better than the affiliate networks.
If you're a fraudster you may think that you're getting away with fraudulent activity, but every second you spend on our website gives us more information to detect you.
In fact, we may even allow you to continue for some time, specifically to waste your time and gather more data on you. So you may have already been caught and not know about it yet.
We also share this extensive data about fraudsters with thousands of other websites and networks, making future fraud much more difficult for you, even after you move on to other websites.
All claims are inspected manually to decide how long to delay payment. We'll delay your prize claims for up to 60 days, if we see a high risk - which is easily long enough for our advertisers to report fraud back to us.
The bottom line: You will get caught. And you won't get paid.
Account Ban Reasons Explained
- Fraudulent Offer Activity - This means that we detected organized fraud, intended to exploit offers from our advertisers. We have banned you, to protect them from this activity.
- Fraudulent Referral Activity - This means that we detected organized fraud, intended to exploit our referral program. Usually this means using large amount of fake or stolen email addresses to register fake referred accounts. This activity is totally obvious to us, and always gets caught.
Please note that if you are using our referral program, it is normal to have a few accounts that do not perform as expected. As long as you are promoting your referral links, and not registering accounts yourself, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
We do not ban accounts for sharing coupons. Go ahead and share coupons as much as you like. You can share coupons together with your referral links, to encourage sign ups.
Is there an account ban appeals process?
Yes, you can contact us at any time to discuss why your account was banned. We will explain the reasons and in very exceptional circumstances, where a mistake has been made, we might restore your account.
If you are committing fraud though please do not bother contacting us, as there is no chance of us restoring your account. You wasted your time.
Chatroom bans are not the same as account bans
At our discretion, we may also decide to ban you from our chatrooms.
This is usually for promoting other websites in the chatrooms. We particularly come down hard on chatroom users promoting HYIP sites and other obvious frauds.
We usually tolerate users promoting communities, videos, articles or websites related to PointsPrizes.
Chat bans are not the same as account bans. You will still have full access to other features on our website. We don't even look at chatroom bans in our main fraud detection procedures, so it has no real effect on your account.
