Our process for delivering rewards to PayPal is as follows:
- First we will try to pay you using a personal payment. This means we will absorb any PayPal fees and you will receive the full prize amount in US dollars.
However, in some cases accounts are unable to receive personal payments. Countries such as Brazil are prevented in all cases from receiving personal payments.
- Therefore we will next try to pay you using a payment for goods and services, using no shipping address. Sadly this means PayPal will charge you fees.
Unfortunately, in some cases even that will fail. PayPal will often give us very little information about why the payment did not go through, because that is personal information and private to your PayPal account.
However, these are the most common causes of failed payments:
- Not confirming your payment email address yet with PayPal.
- Having your account limited or restricted from receiving payments. This could be for any number of reasons and PayPal may be asking for more information or documents from you.
If this happens we will suspend your claim and open a helpdesk email ticket, asking you to resolve the problems with your PayPal account.
We recommend you telephone PayPal customer service to confirm that the problem has been resolved. You should reply to our email ticket when you are ready to receive payment.
It is rare for us to have problems sending PayPal payments. We do everything we can to send payment and will work with you to resolve any issues, but please be patient and proactive.
